Bizek – Njivica

From the Črnomerec bus terminal, take bus line 131 to its final stop in Bizek. Continue on foot along Lisičina street, then along Bizek III street.

First, you’ll pass the intersection with Bizek IV street, then the next one with Cvetkov Put.  Continue uphill until you reach the intersection with Bizek IV street again. After the crossroads with Bizek V street, continue along Bizek III street all the way to the old Bizek mountain hut. The last stretch of this gravel road leads through well-maintained meadows, and just before the old mountain hut you’ll see trail no. 45 that begins on the right. Walk around the old lodge on the right side and you’ll arrive at a spacious plateau. The road you were following veers right, but you should continue straight across the plateau to the very end.

The path isn’t visible from the start of the plateau because it drops off more steeply at the end, descending toward the abandoned Bizek quarry. For the next 500 metres, you'll walk a beautiful narrow trail along the edge of the quarry. Halfway through, there’s a rock with the “DO” (Dedina obilaznica) stamp, and a few metres further on is a wider path which you can take to descend into the quarry. From this part of the trail, you’ll get a view of the quarry, parts of Zagreb and the Samobor hills. Once you exit the quarry, the path gently turns right until it crosses a wide forest trail. You’ve completed one third of the trail. More precisely, you're now at Križevčak. Continue along the forest road, which leads all the way to the end of the trail and the junction with trail no. 101 at Njivice. This section goes through mixed forest and crosses many other forest roads and bike trails. As long as you follow the trail markers, you won’t get lost. Once you reach the end of trail no. 2, you can follow trail no. 101 toward Kameni Svati, which is about an hour’s walk away.

Trail no. 2 serves as an approach to the Kameni Svati mountain hut from Bizek. It connects at the end with trail no. 101, which leads from Podsused to Kameni Svati. Combining both trails, it takes about 2 hours and 30 minutes to hike from Bizek to Kameni Svati.
