Puntijarka – Sljeme peak

From the Ivan Pačkovski mountain hut at Puntijarka, head downhill to the south, in the direction of Zagreb.

After about 150 metres, near the Vila Samoća (Villa Solitude) wooden cabin, trail no. 107 branches off to the right, while trail no. 19, a wider path, goes to the left. Take the right turn onto trail no. 107, descending more steeply in a right-hand curve until you reach a junction with trail no. 64, then sharply turn right and arrive at a small bridge over the Bliznec stream. The trail crosses the bridge and leads to a sharp bend on a forest road. At this bend is a small pond called Tigrovo Oko (Tiger's Eye), and to its right is a path leading to Šumarev Grob (Forester’s Grave). Continue left along the wide road known as Šumarev Put (Forester’s Path).

Šumarev Put is a forest road laid out by Albin Leustek in the 1930s. The road makes a wide curve and comes to a junction with another road coming from the Runolist mountain hut. Turn right here, and you’ll soon reach the Runolist hut. From Runolist, trail no. 107 continues west and begins to climb towards the Grofica restaurant and the Sljemenska Cesta road. After the initial ascent, the hiking trail connects with a forest road that leads directly to Grofica restaurant on the Sljemenska Cesta road.

From the restaurant, there are two options. One is a narrow, steeper hiking trail across the southeastern side of Činovnička Livada (Clerk’s Meadow), which leads to a junction with trail no. 14 at Činovničko Sedlo (Clerk’s Saddle). The other, easier option, is to briefly follow the road from Grofica toward Dom Željezničar, then turn right and go uphill via the stairs that lead directly to Činovnička Livada. Opposite is the Junac mountain hut, and above the meadow is Činovničko Sedlo.

Once you reach Činovničko Sedlo, a major junction of trails nos. 15, 21, 39, 42 and 44, continue left and uphill toward the Sljeme tower. This section of the trail is slightly steeper and wider, following the ridge of Medvednica. It passes by ski huts and the upper station of the ski lift, ending at the very summit – Sljeme (1033 m).
