    Tiger’s Eye

    Near Šumarev grob (the Forester’s Grave), in the heart of Medvednica, hides a small lake that took shape during the Croatian War of Independence.

    While stationed in the area, members of the 1st Guard Brigade of the Croatian Army, better known as the Tigers, formed a special mountain unit made up of 52 mountaineers with various skills. As part of their training, this unique team dug out the lake, which has since been known as Tiger’s Eye, in honour of their brigade.
