Did you know that Zagreb has its very own ski resort – right on top of Medvednica?
It’s not huge, but it’s got everything you need, and it’s where some of our best skiers started off.
The slopes cater to all levels: Bijeli spust (White Run) is just the ticket for a relaxed ski day, Zeleni (Green) and Plavi (Blue) runs are great for those looking for a bit more of a challenge and Crveni spust (Red Run) is where professional skiers once raced during the Snow Queen Trophy. For beginners, Bijela livada (White Meadow) is an easy run to take their first ski turns.
At Sljeme, you’ll find drag lifts, a chairlift, artificial snow, night skiing lights and of course, ski schools for all ages. When the snow falls and the slopes open, Sljeme becomes the favourite winter hangout for locals, families and anyone who simply loves the season.
