Risnjak mountain hut (724 m)
Nestled on a small forest clearing in the Pongračevo area, on the western side of Medvednica, you'll find Risnjak mountain hut — a cosy spot with a long hiking tradition, welcoming visitors since 1955.
Built by the Risnjak Mountaineering Society from Zagreb, this lovely one-story hut has everything you need for a soothing break in nature.
Inside, you'll find two snug dining rooms and the kitchen that cooks up hearty homemade food and serves drinks — perfect for refueling after your hike up. Outside, a spacious terrace invites you to sit back, take a breather and soak up the crisp mountain air.
Dogs are more than welcome too, so feel free to bring your furry friend along for the adventure.
