Kameni Svati mountain house (480 m)
Kameni Svati mountain house is a charming little hut tucked away on the western side of Medvednica. Since it has no permanent caretaker and it's only open on Sundays or by prior arrangement, it's a good idea to check ahead whether it’ll be open when you plan to visit.
Located just below the peak of Kameni Svati, it’s only a five-minute walk from the summit. Originally built as a mountain shelter in 1982, it was later expanded into the cosy house it is today, managed by the Susedgrad Mountaineering Society.
Outside, you’ll find plenty of tables and benches you can use as a rest stop, but keep in mind that the hut doesn’t offer any food or drinks. This is a perfect spot to relax and enjoy the peaceful mountain atmosphere – just make sure to bring your own snacks and refreshments.
The mountain house has no access road – the nearest road is in Jablanovac, about a 50-minute walk from Kameni Svati.
